What Is A Tissue Paper?

A tissue paper is a lightweight paper, like a crepe paper that can be made from recycled paper pulp among other materials. It is mainly characterized by its softness and smooth fabric feel. The process of making tissue papers is slightly different from that of other papers. However, just like manufacturing other papers, tissue papers too, go through the process of pulping, pressing, and converting a regular paper when put inside a tissue paper machine.

Making Tissue Paper from Recycled Materials

Here are steps to be followed when you want to make tissue paper from recycled materials:

Step 1: Collect as many waste papers as you can. Sort them and bring them to a paper plant mill where the dough will be made by mixing these waste papers along with water and several chemicals. Then, you have to extract the pulp from the mixture, filter it, refine it, and turn it into a pulp.

Step 2: The extracted pulp will then come out of the paper mill on a jumbo roll. Then, it is transported to a converting tissue plant. Here, the pulp will be converted into the final product.

Step 3: Now, the tissue paper is embossed or perforated and transferred into long toiler logs as per the correct count of the sheet.

Step 4: Next, these long longs are placed under band saw so as to cut the toilet paper logs into smaller variants, all in the same size and then packed.

Step 5: Finally, these packages are wrapped and shipped to various retailers.
